On November 20, 2013, I had the dubious pleasure of meeting and getting a photo with Lt. Col. Eldridge Williams while on the same drive to Miami International Airport. He traveling with a family member going to Louisiana for Thanksgiving and me going to the Bahamas. On that long drive, I spoke with a legend that I will never forget in my lifetime. He being an African American pilot in WWI and me, a retired flight attendant who fly several MAC during Iraqi war. I was told I could visit anytime, I can’t wait until I return to South Florida and show him photos of my military experience as a civilian.
