The image captures a scene in the medieval town of Besalu, Spain that is representative of both the diversity of cultures who called Besalu home as well as the transcendence of time. The Romanesque arch below and the gothic windows above reflect Besalu’s continual habitation over 1000 years. The ancient windows contrast with the modern windows as a reminder of the many generations who have lived in this building and medieval town.
Network Engineer and artist Vanessa Ramlogan said, “I already own one of Derek’s canvas prints but this one is just so REAL…I feel like I’m right there in the photo and can reach out and touch the brick, feel the texture, feel the moss even. Just gorgeous!”
“HOME” is open to the public through September 27, 2019 at ArtServe located at:
1350 E. Sunrise Boulevard
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
